    Peter Martinek

    Joint Owner | Winemaker

Peter Martinek’s journey into the world of wine began as a lifelong fascination and became a full-fledged vocation in 2017, when he committed himself fully to the craft of winemaking and viticulture. He earned a Master’s degree in Italian Wine Culture from the renowned University of Gastronomic Sciences in Italy, where his studies laid a strong foundation in both tradition and innovation. His practical skills were sharpened during an internship with celebrated Barolo producer Ceretto, under the mentorship of esteemed winemaker Dave Fletcher.

Upon returning to the Geelong region, Peter immersed himself in the local wine scene, gaining hands-on experience through three vintages at Brown Magpie Wines and two at Scotchmans Hill. This period cemented his understanding of cool-climate viticulture and regional expression.

As the vigneron at Mollers Lane, Peter now oversees every stage of the vineyard’s life—from planting and cultivation to daily operations and harvest. He also leads the winemaking process, translating his deep respect for the land and vine into wines that reflect both place and purpose.
